Terra Robotics, an Agri-tech startup pioneering cutting-edge laser weeding solutions, has successfully raised nearly €1.8 million in its latest funding round. The financing secures the company’s growth, supporting the commercialization of its breakthrough laser weeder technology and the implementation of its long-term vision: to make advanced technology accessible to all farmers, enabling a more sustainable, efficient, and scalable farming future.
The round was led by Uni.Fund, with the continued support of existing investors Genesis Ventures and Helidoni Group, alongside the company’s network of angel investors and HeBAN (Hellenic Business Angels Network who have backed Terra Robotics since its early days. The company also welcomed a new angel investor, Argyris Kaninis, joining the group of trusted partners supporting its mission.
“We are extremely grateful to our investors for their trust and continued support. Their commitment enables us to stay true to our farmer-oriented approach and to focus on solving agriculture’s number one challenge: weeding,” said Konstantinos Kandylas, CEO/Co-founder of Terra Robotics. “With this strong and diverse group of backers, we believe we have built the ideal foundation to accelerate commercialization and bring our laser weeder to farmers worldwide.”
The funds will be used to expand Terra Robotics’ engineering and operations teams, finalize product development, and market entry. Over the coming months, the company will focus on deploying pilot projects, scaling production, and expanding partnerships with farmers and agricultural stakeholders.
Terra Robotics’ laser weeder is designed to drastically reduce the need for herbicides and manual labor, helping farmers cut costs, increase efficiency, and transition toward more sustainable practices. By blending advanced robotics, AI, and laser technology, Terra Robotics delivers a practical solution to one of farming’s most pressing issues, while ensuring accessibility for farms of all sizes.
“We believe Terra Robotics has the potential to revolutionize farming.”, said Dora Trachana, Partner & CEO of Uni.Fund. “Terra Robotics stands at the intersection of deep tech and real farming experience. The founders’ ability to merge cutting-edge robotics with a farmer-first mindset is what convinced us from the start. We believe their work will not only reshape how farming is done but also inspire more world-class innovation to emerge from Greece.”
“From the very beginning, we recognized the unmatched team–market fit of Terra Robotics — as both engineers and farmers themselves. Their technology has the potential not only to transform farming by reducing costs and environmental impact, but also to inspire a new generation of founders from Thessaloniki to build ambitious tech companies with global reach. We are proud to continue supporting their journey.» said Dimitris Maroulis, Partner & Co-founder of Genesis Ventures.
“We are proud to continue backing Terra Robotics, which combines deep tech expertise with a farmer-first mentality, extending our support since the very first round.”, said Alexis Zitrides, Managing Director of Helidoni Group. “TerraWeeder has the potential to become a cornerstone of sustainable agriculture, and we look forward to seeing the impact it will create globally.”
With this milestone, Terra Robotics is poised to implement ambitious plans and continue driving impact across the agricultural sector.
